The history of European ice cream
The first country to invent the recipe of ice cream was Italians. According to scientists in history Julian Cesar was especially anxious about this product and liked it a lot. Sometimes he even ordered his people to get the ice and the snow from the mountains so that he had the possibility to eat it with juice.
It is interesting to know that almost all great people of the past liked ice cream very much. For example, Alexander the Great liked to eat this dessert during his numerous marches.
One of the ancestors of ice cream is the dish made of peaches. Ancient people removed the stone from the fruit and put the piece of ice instead of it that made the fruit very tasty. And the dish itself was very expensive.
The majority of scientists think that ice cream came to Europe thanks to the traveller Marco Polo that was the discoverer of several great inventions. When he was in China he got the recipe of creating this dessert. It was the fruit ice that was the only type of ice cream at that time.
It is interesting to know that at that moment the method of making the frozen milk with sugar was created on the territory of Kievan Russia.
But sundae was created not in Italy or Kievan Russia. The inventors of this product were French people who became the authors of the recipe of making the frozen dessert based on milk and cream.
And with the lapse of time ice cream spread all over Europe and every country added something interesting and new to the production of ice cream. For example, Austrians were the inventors of so called chocolate ice cream.
