Ice cream is the favourite dessert of children and adults from all parts of the world.Ice cream reminds us about our childhood when it was the favourite food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.The iced coffee with ice cream topping is famous all over the world and is considered to be delicate dish of many gourmets.

In the 18th century people started to use milk, cream and egg yolk to make the ice cream. And these things became the traditional components of recipes of the ice cream. And the introduction of the new ingredient created the ice cream as we know it today. Hanna Glasse described the recipe of making raspberry ice cream with the use of milk. And in the end of 18th century the book "L'Art de Bien Faire les Glaces d'Office" was released ("The Art of making the ice cream"). And the whole book was dedicated to the recipes of making the ice cream and dishes alike it.

The settlements that came to colonize the USA brought recipes of ice cream to it also. Confectioners the majority of which were from Europe started to sell ice cream in little shops of New York and other big cities of the epoch of colonization. Benjamin Franklin, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson very often enjoyed this tasty dessert. And the production of ice cream in the USA is very much connected with the figure of Dolly Madison.
