Developing of the ice cream production
In the middle of the 19th century Nancy Johnson created the first ice cream-maker that made the ice-making easier. This cream-maker became popular at once but it didn't give the possibility to make ice cream at home. But in 1851 the first machine of shaking the ice cream and freezing it was created.
First it was used only in Baltimore but after the Civil war in the USA it also spread to NYC, Washington and Boston. But ice cream became available for ordinary people only in the beginning of the 20th century, when the first chill boxes were created and the technologies of producing ice creams were improved.
The Italian Marconi moved to the USA in the end of the 19th century. He started to sell the lemon ice made at home. Soon, he became rather successful as in a few years he already had several stalls of selling the ice. And soon he faced the problem of sanitation or it is better to say the problem of its absence. At that time ice cream was sold in small glasses and it began to preoccupy Marconi. He was even more preoccupied by the fact that buyer not always returned the glasses back forgetting about it. And he had an idea. He decided to bake special edible capacities for the ice cream that were almost the same as the real glasses in which he sold the ice cream before. And thanks to this invention he became famous all over the world.
